 GREETINGS FROM RYK

Management and staff of the club are really working hard at creating a great experience for both members and visitors to our club. Our greens staff are running full steam to get the course ready for the Mpumalanga Open and I must say the course is looking and playing great. Well done to Peter and his staff. Thanks go out to all staff members for their positive input and we assure you, our members, of our full co-operation at all times. Please see the Course Audit – click here.

This past week saw quite a few visitors and a corporate to our club. Dale Hayes was here on Tuesday with a group of players and the compliments we received on both our course and the general experience was great to hear. We seem to be on track with our plans in making Nelspruit Golf Club the venue of choice when it comes to Golf in Mpumalanga. Thursday saw the Price Waterhouse Coopers fundraiser golf day and this day was a great success. Thanks go out to PWC for choosing our course and we hope to see you back next year. Thanks also go out to Dale for always keeping our course in mind when planning his events.

Friday 4th September we host the Mpumalanga Junior Golf Foundation Fund Raiser. Good luck to all in the field and good luck to the Foundation we hope your day is a huge success.

I owe, I owe, it’s of to work I go!!

Annual subscription:
Subs were due on 1 September 2010. If you have not yet settled this please make an urgent attempt to do so. Should you still be waiting for your account, please contact either reception or Cindy and we will ensure you receive one. You can play till the 8th of September, but then unfortunately you will be blocked until such time your account has been settled or alternative arrangements have been made.

Ag Nee!! Ons Mag Nee Speel Nie, Maar Ons Kan Kom Kyk!

The course will be closed from 10th till 12th September 2010 for the Mpumalanga Open and we all look forward to hosting such a prestigious event. In an effort to present the participants with and outstanding course, we urge all members to keep a good distance from greens and tee boxes with golf carts. Please also try to keep clear of dry spots on both fairways and rough. Repair pitch marks and divots, even if they are not yours. This should be standard procedure among players and we send out an urgent request to try and develop a culture among players to repair the damage we do to our course through playing this wonderful game. PS. 6 Springboks in the field, as well as the top amateur in the country!!

Hee Haa!!

We are producing great golfers in our club:
Congratulations go out to Teddy Matebula and Stefan Potgieter. These talented guys have been selected as part of the Mpumalanga Mid Amateur Team. They will be representing our province in Boland on the 10th October. Well done, and good luck to both of you. As a club we are proud of you and wish you well.

Great news from Italy: Thriston Lawrence and his team mates won the Italian Boys U/16 team event and Thriston made the cut and came T23 overall in the stroke play event. Well done Thriston!!
